If you are looking to book Safety Harness Training as a stand-alone training session, a minimum of 6 persons/€300 is required. The cost is €50 per person.

Working at heights can be dangerous, and it is a legal requirement, as directed by the Health and Safety Authority, to ensure that your safety harness and lanyard are safety compliant and checked by a verified body every 6 months. Fall protection should be used to safely when working with MEWPs or other working at heights equipment. The absence of the right PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) leads to an increased risk of an accident. In this scenario, the employer or contractor responsible for the workers safety, will be held responsible. PPEs can prevent users from falling out of the working platform thus preventing a serious accident.
The Importance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
It is important to remember the ABC of fall protection, Anchor, Body Support and Connecting Device. When working with MEWPs, a restraint body harness and connecting lanyard needs to be worn. This prevents the worker from getting in a position from which a fall could occur.
Since working from an MEWP means that the fall height is variable, the use of a shock absorbing lanyard is NOT recommended. Instead, a lanyard that is suitable for work restraint (work positioning) should be used.
Working at heights is one of the biggest causes of personal injury within the workplace and the correct safety equipment must be worn to prevent injury. A safety harness can save your life in the event of a fall.

If you book to attend any of our training courses, we can inspect your harness and lanyard and provide you with certification at a reduced rate of €20 ex-VAT. New harnesses are also available to purchase on the day and will be offered at a reduced rate of €70 ex-VAT.
