The Van Mounted HVM 12 aerial platform is designed for safe operation at heights up to 12 meters, with a horizontal outreach of 8 meters and a lateral outreach of 6.2 meters. It combines strength, stability, and flexibility for various aerial tasks.

Design & Construction:

  • Base & Frame: Made from high-strength steel for maximum rigidity and safety, with easy access to the hydraulic oil tank.
  • Space-Saving Van Design: No internal columns, allowing free space inside the van for storing materials. A steel structure supports the rotation of the turret and arm.
  • Stability: Ensured by two pairs of double-acting hydraulic jacks, connected to the main hydraulic circuit.
  • Telescopic Arm: 2-element arm (1 fixed + 1 extendable), providing both vertical and horizontal reach, with internal cable and pipe protection.
  • Articulated JIB Arm: Located at the end of the telescopic arm, allowing the platform to climb over obstacles and reach hard-to-access positions.

Controls

  • 100% hydraulic controls directly from the nacelle, with low pressure proportional system in the nacelle (only 25 BAR) for precise and millimetric movements. Thanks to the low pressure hydraulic system, a very long life of the system is guaranteed with very low maintenance costs.
  •  Ground emergency control station.
  •  The controls allow you to perform 2 movements simultaneously and to obtain a greater sensitivity of progressive and gradual maneuvering compared to the electro-hydraulic ones as well as avoiding failures of the electrical components resulting from rainy weather, humidity, frequent use, etc.
  •  Check valves fitted to all hydraulic cylinders.
  •  Control levers with automatic return to rest position. The movements of the entire platform are activated by using levers, located respectively in the following control stations:
    – nacelle: platform control panel
    – turret: platform control panel for emergencies only
    – base: stabiliser control panel

Safety Devices

  •  Lock the stabilizers when the arm is not in the rest position.
  •  The arm will lock if the props are not fully lowered and do not detect the actual stabilization of the vehicle.
  •  Boom and stabilizer lock if cab PTO is not engaged.
  •  No need for a lateral outreach limiter (100% SAFE): the operator can move safely throughout the entire work area without the need for a special device that limits movements in case of danger. Thanks to the model’s design, ANY work position reachable with the platform is ALWAYS within the safe work area.
  •  Manually operated emergency pump allows any maneuver in the event of a failure of the main pump, in particular the return to the rest position of the arm and props, it is able to operate even with a flat battery.
  •  All movements of the structure are carried out by double-acting hydraulic jacks with double-piloted safety valves that control the flow of oil in and out.
  •  Yellow flashing rotating beacon positioned by a magnet on the roof of the vehicle cabin.
  •  Indicator light for stabilizers not fully lowered in the cabin.
  •  General safety button for emergency shutdown.
  •  Thermal protection device for the electrical system.
  •  Safety device that prevents the starter motor from engaging while the engine is running.
