What is a Boom Lift?
A boom lift is a type of aerial lift that allows you to have both horizontal and vertical reach for any jobs that you need to complete at a height. Boom lifts are the highest reaching elevated work platform; and they allow your staff to be raised and moved both horizontally and vertically to reach their desired worksite. They tend to usually be used for construction, industrial and maintenance projects outdoors but can also be used indoors depending on the type of boom lift you are using.
They are often used for jobs like painting, installing signage, general building maintenance tasks, erecting scaffolding, and lighting works amongst many other projects. They differ from scissor lifts which only go up and down, and as a boom lift can move both horizontally and vertically they allow you to reach areas that you wouldn’t be able to with a scissor lift.
